How It Happened

* After a quiet first half in which both teams tallied four shots a piece, the second half started with the game's first goal.  Findlay broke the silence with her first goal of the season after she broke away from the defense for a wide open shot from the top of the box after receiving a through pass up the middle from freshman Brenna McCarry (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower).  Findlay's goal in the 49th minute gave the Tigers the game's first lead at 1-0.

* Later in the half the Tigers' doubled their lead thanks to Findlay being in the right place at the right time. McCarry once again delievered a perfect pass that was received by junior Jacqueline Ziegler (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy).  Her shot was blocked by a Dominican defender but Findlay was able to collect the rebounded ball to find the back of the net for the second time in the game.  Both McCarry and Ziegler were credited with assists on the goal scored in the 67th minute.

* Senior goalkeeper Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) was near perfect in net for the Tigers stopping all four shots on-goal by the Chargers until Abby Montera was able to get one by her off a header shot in the 82nd minute to cut the Tigers' lead in half at 2-1.  Pudlo would go on to make a key save in the 87th minute off a shot by Alyana Gonel to preserve the one goal advantage.  She finished the game with a season-high five saves.
