How It Happened (Game 1)

* ESU starting pitcher Mikayla Pourby (1-0) stifled the Holy Family offense in the opener as she allowed just five baserunners, including three hits in a complete seven-inning effort.  Pourby also struck out three batters to earn her first victory of the season.

* The Warriors scored a run in the second and a run in the third inning before breaking the game open with a three run fourth.  Marissa Govan led the inning off with a double and after two putouts by the Tigers she finally scored off a double by Molly Nies.  The Warriors added two more runs in the inning taking advantage of a Holy Family error and wild pitch.

Inside the Box Score (Game 1)

* Freshman Emily Siwek (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) recorded her first collegiate hit with a base hit to left field in the third inning.  She finished the game 1-for-3.  Juniors Ashley Remington (Collegeville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) (1-3) and Abigail Smith (Elkton, Md./Red Lion Christian Academy) (1-2) also had hits for the Tigers.

* Remington (0-1) went the distance for the Tigers in the pitching circle allowing two earned runs and striking out five batters in six innings of work.

* East Stroudsburg's Ashley Spencer was the lone player in the game with multiple hits as she finished 2-for-2 with a double and a RBI.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* The Warriors scored the game's first two runs in the bottom of the second inning to take an early lead.  However, the lead would be short lived as the Tigers responded with three runs of their own in the top half of the third. With one out in the inning, Siwek singled to center followed by a double to right by junior Elaina Hansen (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional).  Remington then came through with a two-run double to tie the game.  She would later score on a single to right field by junior Stephanie Uribe (San Diego, Calif./Liberty Charter High) to give the Tigers a 3-2 advantage.
* The Tigers' lead quickly disappeared in the bottom of the inning as East Stroudsburg scored five runs off five hits in the inning.  Govan highlighted the inning with a two-run homer.

* The Warriors' offense exploded for seven more runs in the fourth off another five hits.  Kaitlyn Caleen had a two-run single in the inning and Rachel Seiverd emptied the bases with a three-run triple.

Inside the Box Score (Game 2)

* Seven different players recorded hits in the game for the Tigers.  Hansen, Remington and junior Jasmine Martinez (Riverside, Calif./Riverside Polytechnic) each recorded doubles.

* East Stroudsburg's Reilly Vicendese went 2-for-3 with two runs and a RBI.  Cecchin had a near-perfect game at the plate as she finished 2-for-3 with two runs and a RBI. Lexi Wright went 2-of-2 with a run and two RBI in the game.

* Marah Range (3-1) received the victory as she went 2.2 innings of relief for the Warriors allowing just two hits while striking out four.
