Current Occupation: Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator-University of Pennsylvania

Since Holy Family I have…
I have been fortunate to continue my passion for basketball by coaching at three amazing institutions at the Division I level. I have spent six of those years at the University of Pennsylvania under the guidance of former Holy Family coach Mike McLaughlin. Additionally, I have coached at the College of William & Mary and Sacred Heart University under coach Ed Swanson. I have been fortunate enough to purchase a home in my hometown of Pennsauken, NJ, where I am able to spend a ton of time with my family and friends. However, the best thing I have done since Holy Family is decided to have a child! My boyfriend, EJ Bacerra and I are expecting our first child in December!  Editors Note: Kelly and EJ welcomed Baby Eddie into the world in December.

Favorite HFU Memory:
While winning three CACC Championships during my time at Holy Family are extremely important to me, my favorite memory would be the time spent with my teammates and coaches. The wins and losses will always be a part of the game, but the relationships I built and sustain today have given me an invaluable piece of Holy Family.

Favorite Class or Professor:
Photography-Senior Year with Melissa Brooks. I thought it would be an easy course for spring semester of senior year, but I was wrong! It challenged me and it is one class I still talk about until this day!

When was the last time you visited HFU and why?
Last basketball season to watch the squad! I love coming back to see the games as much as I can.

Message for current and future Tigers?
Love what you do and love who you are doing it with! We may not have had the most talented teams but we loved competing and playing hard for our teammates and coaches which ultimately lead to our success. Invest time on and OFF the floor in yourself, teammates, coaches and Holy Family. I promise, you won't regret it! Your time is limited at Holy Family so enjoy every moment and do not rush to graduation. The real world is waiting to get its hands on you…make it wait! Have fun, be safe, laugh, love and hug your teammates! Those will be the memories you hold on to!
