Score: Holy Family 72, Georgian Court 61
Records: Holy Family (6-5, 1-2 CACC) | Georgian Court (2-6, 0-3 CACC)
Location: Philadelphia, Pa. (Campus Center Gymnasium)

How It Happened

* Holy Family trailed 9-3 early in the first quarter after Georgian Courts' Erika Aspajo drained a three-pointer at the 6:05 mark.  The Tigers responded by closing out the quarter with a 14-4 run to lead 17-13 as freshman Jessica Riepe (Marlboro, N.J./Marlboro) capped the scoring with a three-pointer.

* Holy Family would go on to lead by as many as nine points in the second quarter thanks to a quick 7-0 run.  After junior Moe Moore (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) picked a steal on defense, it led to a fast-break basket by junior Jada Saeger (Walnutport, Pa./Northern Lehigh) to make the score 30-21 with less than three minutes to play until halftime.  The Lions would go on to cut into the Tigers' lead and make the score 33-29 at the half.

* In the third quarter, Georgian Court tied the game at 35-35 at the 8:02 mark.  From there, Holy Family surged to 10 unanswered points of the next 3:32 of the quarter.  Saeger converted a pair of free throws to cap the 10-0 and give the Tigers a 45-35 advantage.

* At the 6:30 mark of the fourth quarter, Georgian Court cut the deficit down to five points at 57-52.  However, another surge by the Tigers increased their lead back to double-digits when Moore converted a three-point play with a layup capped off with a free throw.  Leading 63-52 with about four minutes remaining the Tigers kept their distance from the Lions never allowing GCU to come within less than two possessions of the lead.

* After the Tigers' 14-4 run to close out the first quarter, Holy Family never relinquished the lead despite Georgian Court tying the game during the second and third quarters.
