How It Happened

* The Holy Family offense pressured the Bloomfield defense with 26 total shots in the game with 13 in each half.  Unable to get anything by the Bears' goalkeeper in the first half, the Tigers finally broke through in the second half with all three of their scores.

* The first goal which broke a scoreless tie, came in the 66th minute off the foot of freshman Alyssa Hooten (Pocono Summit, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) for her second goal of the season.  Hooten was able to get a shot off right inside the box in front of the net for the score.  Senior Hannah Florentino (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) and sophomore Brenna McCarry (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) both assisted on the play.

* The Tigers doubled their lead less than five minutes later when sophomore Maura Kilkenny (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Little Flower) converted a penalty kick attempt.  A handball by the Bears inside the box resulted in the PK for the Tigers.  The goal in the 70th minute marked Kilkenny's second of the season.

* Holy Family added some insurance late in the half after back-to-back-to-back shots by the offense resulted in a score.  After two stops by Bloomfield's Maria Taseva, sophomore Gianna Monaco (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) was able to get a third shot off in the sequence against Taseva taking the rebounded ball and firing it into the back of the net.

Inside the Box Score

* Holy Family senior goalkeeper Alayna McSeed (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) picked up her fifth shutout of the season and the ninth of her career.  McSeed made three saves in net and in the process extended her shutout streak to 566:15.  McSeed's last goal allowed came last month against Bentley University in the 19th minute.

* Holy Family recorded a season-high 26 shots with Kilkenny and senior Jacqueline Ziegler (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) each registering five shots, including two each on-goal.

* Holy Family has won six straight games after starting the season 0-1-1.  The Tigers are currently one of two teams in the CACC unbeaten in conference play.  Dominican College is currently 4-0-0 behind the Tigers 5-0-0 conference mark.  Holy Family has outscored conference opponents, 8-0, in the five games. The defense is the only squad in the CACC that has yet to yield a goal in conference action.
