How It Happened

* Silks tied the program record of 3,889 assists late in the third set off a kill by senior Carly Covington (Delmar, Md./Delmar), which broke a 22-22 tie leading to the Tigers winning the set at 25-23. The record setting kill came right in the beginning of the fourth set with Covington doing the honors by firing off another kill for Silks' 3,890th career assist.

* After a rough first set, Holy Family rallied to win the next three sets to take the match, 3-1.  The Tigers recorded 13 kills in each of the final three sets after totaling only nine in the first.

* In the fourth set the Tigers trailed 7-6 but went on to score six straight points to grab a five-point advantage at 12-7.  The Eagles recaptured the lead thanks to an 8-2 rally to lead 15-14.  After exchanging points in the next four rallies, the Eagles followed with two straight points to lead 19-17.  The Tigers answered by scoring the next six points to lead 23-19.  Post followed with three straight points to come within one point of tying the set once more, but the Tigers went on to score the final two points of the set to secure the win.
