Match Recap

* An 8-1 run late in the opening set gave the Golden Rams a 20-15 as it appeared the hosts were going to run away with the first set.  However, a kill by freshman Skylar Osenkarski (Harding, Pa./Holy Redeemer) halted the run and started a mini 4-0 rally for the Tigers to cut the deficit to 20-19.  After both teams exchange a pair of points, West Chester closed out the set with three straight points to win 25-21.

* West Chester increased its lead to 2-0 in the match after taking another close contested set late.  Leading 17-16, the Golden Rams used a 6-2 run to take control of the second set.  Holy Family did cut the lead to 23-20 after back-to-back kills by senior Gianna Pesognelli (Phoenix, Ariz./Pinnacle) but the Golden Rams took advantage of two errors by the Tigers to close out the set at 25-20.

* Holy Family opened the third set with a 4-0 run but its lead turned out to be short-lived.  West Chester responded in a big way as the Golden Rams went on an 11-1 surge to grab an 11-5 lead.  The Golden Rams led by as many as eight points in the set.  The Tigers managed to cut the lead to 19-14, but West Chester scored the final six points of the set to win 25-14.
