Bloomfield, N.J. - The Holy Family University men's soccer team came up short in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest at Bloomfield College by the score of 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Foley Field.

Game Recap
 
* Bloomfield struck first when Quincy Baal scored in the 24th minute to give the Bears a 1-0 advantage on his third goal of the season.
 
* The lead would be short-lived; very short-lived.  Holy Family responded within :12 seconds of Bloomfield's  score to tie the game at 1-1.  Junior Sean McCormick (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) scored his second goal of the season to tie the game.  Sophomore Georg Montag (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) was credited with the assist on the play.
 
* The game remained tied at 1-1 until the 42nd minute when Bloomfield's Baal came through with another goal, his fourth of the season, to give the Bears a 2-1 lead heading into halftime.
 
* Holy Family had opportunities to potentially tie the game late in the second half and force overtime.  In the 79th minute a shot by Montag was stopped by Bloomfield goalkeeper, Jomar Vizcaino, to preserve the lead.  In the final seconds the Tigers had a corner kick opportunity and junior Davis Habilaj (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) was able to get a header shot off but it went wide of the net.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 25th meeting between Holy Family and Bloomfield since the start of the 1997 season.  The Tigers are now 11-11-3 versus the Bears in the all-time series during that span.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 2 as the Tigers host Wilmington University in a CACC contest. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m. at Tiger Field.
