Game Recap

* Holy Family wasted no time jumping ahead of the Spartans as Richmond connected on his first of two goals in the fifth minute of action.  Richmond controlled a loose ball off a pass from junior Davis Habilaj (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) and found the lower-left corner of the net to record his first goal of the season.

* The score remained 1-0 in favor of the Tigers through the rest of the first half.  Richmond doubled the team's lead early in the second stanza when he received a pass up the right side from junior Arthur Dolan (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic).  Richmond beat his defender and was able to get a shot off passed the diving keeper.

* The Tigers' offence didn't stop there as freshman Dakota Taylor (Willow Grove, Pa./Archbishop Wood), fresh off his CACC Rookie of the Week recognition, connected on his second goal of the season in the 73rd minute.  Taylor received a pass from fellow freshman Sean Touey (Rockledge, Pa./Abington) to set up the score.

* Senior Gilbert Anokye (Philadelphia, Pa. (Ghana)/Northeast) capped the scoring when he tallied his first goal of the year off a corner kick.  Sophomore Christian Shoemaker (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) just entered the game and took the corner kick attempt as he found Anokye inside the box for the score in the 84th minute.

News and Notes

* Senior goalkeeper Mark Tobin (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (La Salle Univ.)) made three saves in net to preserve the shutout.  The Holy Family defense held the Spartans without a shot in the first half.  STAC tallied nine shots in the second half with three being on target.

* Holy Family is 2-0-0 to start the season for the first time since the 2005 season.  That year the Tigers won there first three games to start the season.
