How It Happened

* Nyack scored the first four goals of the game and went on to take an 8-2 advantage with less than five minutes remaining in the half.  Holy Family responded by scoring the next three goals to close out the first half, including two by senior Devon Felix (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland).  Freshman Emily Dalton (Philadelphia, Pa./Philadelphia Academy) capped the scoring with 1:50 to play in the half as the Warriors led 8-6 at the half.

* In the second half Holy Family scored back-to-back goals to come within one score of the Warriors' lead.  Felix tallied her team-high fourth of the game before senior Caleigh Gallagher (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) connected on her first goal of the season.  Gallagher grabbed a groundball on a failed clear attempt by the Warriors and went nearly the length of the field for the score.

* The Tigers' run came to a halt when Nyack responded with a goal by Melissa Clapsaddle at the 26:22 mark.  She led the Warriors with a game-high six goals. Clapsaddle's goal jump-started a 6-0 run as the Warriors increased their lead to 14-7.  The Nyack defense held the Tigers scoreless for 21-minutes before junior Casey Brown (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) ended the drought with her eighth goal of the season.

* Holy Family would go on to score four of the final five goals of the game over the final five-plus minutes of action.
