How It Happened

* Holy Family trailed early on as the Wildcats found themselves with an 18-10 lead midway through the first half.  However, the Tigers began chipping away at the lead and eventually pulled ahead after back-to-back three-pointers by junior Vincenzo Dalessandro (Levittown, Pa./Conwell Egan (Pace Univ.)) and freshman Patrick Robinson III (Chesterfield, N.J./Conwell Egan).  Dalessandro's triple cut the deficit down to one point and then on the next Tigers' possession Robinson gave his team the lead at 27-25 with 4:18 to play until halftime.

* Over the final four-plus minutes of the first half the Tigers began building a lead and by the time the half came to a close had an eight-point advantage of their own.  Holy Family outscored the Wildcats, 11-5  down the stretch to lead 38-30 at halftime.

* Though the Tigers never relinquished the lead in the second half, the Wildcats did give them a run early on in the half.  Wilmington scored the first six points of the second half to come within two points of the lead at 38-36.

* The Wildcats would cut the lead to one possession again at the 15:06 mark after a Thomas Farrior layup made the score 45-42.  However, Holy Family scored seven straight points capped by a dunk by Dalessandro to give the Tigers their first double-digit lead of the game at 52-42 with 12:35 to play.

* Wilmington made a short run and made it a two-possession game at the 10:57 mark with the score at 55-49, but that would be closet the Wildcats would get of the lead on the night.  Holy Family rallied over the next three minutes with a 9-2 run to grab a 64-51 lead.

*Holy Family's lead would swell to as many as 21 points when Robinson converted a three-point play capped with a free throw making the score 80-59 with 2:32 left on the clock.

* Holy Family outscored the Wildcats 25-10 once Wilmington cut the deficit down to six points (55-49) at the 10:57 mark of the second half.

* Junior Branden Aughburns (Queens, N.Y./The Canterbury School (Hampton Univ.)) scored a season-high 24 points as he shot an impressive 12-of-15 from the field to go along with six rebounds and four blocks on defense.

* Farrior finished with 22 points to lead the Wildcats.  Jordan Harding added 14 points and 11 rebounds to record a double-double.

Postseason Picture
With one game to go the Tigers can still move into second place in the South Division and host a quarterfinal game.  Holy Family will need to beat city rival Jefferson at home on Saturday in the regular season finale and also will need Wilmington to defeat Goldey-Beacom College in its finale.  In doing so, the Tigers and Lightning would be tied for second place but due to the Tigers season sweep they will hold the tiebreak.

Next Up
The regular season wraps up on Saturday as the Tigers welcome the Rams to the Campus Center Gymnasium.  Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
