Caldwell, N.J. - The Holy Family University men's basketball team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest at Caldwell University by the score of 69-65 on Saturday afternoon at the Newman Center.

How It Happened
 
* Caldwell held the game's biggest lead at the 12:39 mark of the second half when the Cougars led 43-34.  The Tigers wouldn't let the deficit increase to double-digits and in turn eventually grabbed the lead three minutes later thanks to a 12-2 run.  Freshman Eric Esposito (Langhorne, Pa./Conwell Egan) knocked down a three-pointer to give the Tigers a 46-45 advantage.
 
* From there, the lead exchanged hands seven times with Caldwell grabbing the final lead change with just over three minutes to play.  Ruud Lutterman finished off a three-point play with a free throw as Caldwell led 61-59. 
 
* The Cougars would lead by four points on three occasions down the stretch with each time the Tigers responding with a basket to come within two points of the lead.  After Holy Family made the score 67-65 with :35 seconds to play, the Cougars split a pair of free throws and made a defensive stop to hold off the Tigers.
 
News and Notes
 
* Freshman Dymir Montague (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) led all scorers with 16 points to go along with five rebounds and six assists.  Montague also had three steals on defense.
 
* Patrick Robinson III (Chesterfield, N.J./Conwell Egan) finished the game with 11 points and also filled the box score with five boards and six assists. 
 
* Junior Vincenzo Dalessandro (Levittown, Pa./Conwell Egan (Pace Univ.)) also scored in double-figures as he added 15 points.
 
* Lutterman along with AJ Kittles scored 13 points apiece to lead the Cougars' offense.  Lutterman also totaled a game-high nine rebounds.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 24th meeting between Holy Family and Caldwell since the start of the 2002-03 season.  The Tigers are now 16-8 versus the Cougars in the series.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 19 as the Tigers travel to face city rival Chestnut Hill College in a CACC contest.  Game time is set for 8 p.m.
