How It Happened

* USciences opened the game with an 8-0 run and never looked back as the Devils led from beginning to end.  Leading 21-19, the Devils used a 10-4 rally to grab a double-digit lead at 31-21 at the 6:00 minute mark.  Despite trailing by double-digits the Tigers and cut the lead to two points after a 16-8 surge made the score 39-37 with one minute left in the half.  The Devils would go on to score the final basket of the half and take a 41-37 lead into the locker rooms at halftime.

* The Devils opened the second half scoring 11 straight points to grab their biggest lead of the game.  A tip-in basket by Tanner Kerr gave the Devils a 52-37 lead at the 14:47 mark.

* Holy Family quickly responded and cut the deficit to single digits over the next couple of minutes after a three-point play by freshman Dymir Montague (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) made the score 53-44.

* The Tigers came as close as six points of the Devils' lead down the stretch.  A three-pointer by freshman Eric Esposito (Langhorne, Pa./Conwell Egan) made the score 68-62 with 7:15 to play.  USciences though followed with six straight points to increase its lead back to double-digits (74-62).

* Holy Family made it a seven-point game with 1:29 to play when Montague converted a pair of free throws that made the score 82-75.  However, the Devils would go on to convert 6-of-8 from the free throw line in the final 70 seconds to put the game out of reach as time was against the Tigers.
