Game Recap

* Holy Family overcame a 14-point deficit late in the third quarter.  After Haley Meinel gave the Rams a 50-36 lead with 3:23 to play in the third, the Tigers went on to outscore their city rival, 9-3, to come within eight points entering the final frame (53-45).

* The Tigers carried the momentum into the fourth quarter and scored the first 15 points to take a seven-point advantage after a jumper by graduate Mia Ehling (Linden, N.J./Holmdel (St. Francis)) capped the run.  The Rams finally scored on the next possession after going the first 7:09 of the quarter without a field goal.

* The Rams came within two points after Meinel stole an inbounds pass and scored to make the score 64-62.  She was fouled on the play but missed the free throw as freshman Moe Moore (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) came away with a key defensive board.  From there, the Tigers converted 7-of-8 from the free throw line in the final minute-plus of action, while the Rams managed to go 1-of-5 from the field in that stretch.

News and Notes

* Junior Anjelai Hayes (Woodbury, N.J./Woodbury) registered a career-high 20 points to lead all scorers.  She connected on 6-of-12 from the field, including a pair of free throws. Hayes was also 6-of-6 from the free throw line.  In addition, she came away with eight rebounds.

* Ehling also finished in double-figures with 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field.

* Moore finished one point and one rebound shy of a double-double with nine points and nine boards.  She also dished out three assists and led the team with three steals.

* The Tigers fourth quarter comeback was highlighted with a 53-percent field goal percentage as a team and a near-perfect performance at the free throw line connecting on 9-of-10 attempts in the quarter.  The defense limited the Rams to just 5-of-21 from the field.
