Game Recap

* Junior Hannah Derby (Pitman, N.J./Pitman) scored the game's only goal midway through the first half to give the Tigers the lead at 1-0.  Derby's goal came immediately after Chestnut Hill's Paris Banks stopped a penalty kick attempt followed by a rebounded shot by senior Casey Brown (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower).  Freshman Hannah Florentino (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) corralled the loose ball and found Derby in front of the net for her seventh goal of the season in the 23rd minute.

* Junior goalkeeper Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) made three saves in the game to record her second shutout of the season.

* Banks totaled nine saves in net for the Griffins.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 13th meeting between Holy Family and Chestnut Hill dating back to the 2007 season.  The Tigers are now 8-3-2 versus the Griffins in the all-time series after winning the last three match ups.

Postseason Picture
With the regular season wrapped up the Tigers currently sit in fourth place in the CACC standings and could still possibly host a quarterfinal game when the conference tournament begins next week.  However, Holy Family will need Caldwell University to lose its final regular season game on Friday at Concordia College or for the Cougars to tie the Clippers in order to secure the fourth seed.  If that occurs the Tigers will host Caldwell in the quarterfinals. If the Cougars win their final game the Tigers will drop to fifth in the pairings and as a result travel to Goldey-Beacom College to open the postseason.

Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Tuesday, Nov. 12 with the CACC quarterfinals.  The final pairings for the CACC Tournament will be announced at the conclusion of the regular season later this week.
