Game Recap

* Sophomore Kait Findlay (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) scored her team leading 11th goal of the season in the 47th minute to break the scoreless tie minutes into the second half.  Senior Jess Elliott (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) sent a cross pass towards Findlay right in front of the net to set up the score.

* The Tigers held the advantage until the 70th minute when Dominican tied the game with a goal from Danai Chimedza.

* Junior goalkeeper Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) came up with a big save in the 88th minute stopping a shot by Chimedza to preserve the tie through regulation.  Minutes prior to Pudlo's save, Dominican's Lauren Buchanan also prevented a go-ahead goal by making the save off a shot by junior Cassie Kennedy (Delran, N.J./Delran (Rowan at Burlington County)).

* In the first overtime period the Tigers pressured the Dominican defense with three shots in a two-minute span.  In the 96th minute sophomore Jacqueline Ziegler's (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) shot was turned away by Buchanan.  In the 97th minute back-to-back shots fell short for the Tigers as junior Hannah Derby (Pitman, N.J./Pitman) hit the crossbar and the rebounded shot by Findlay went just high of the net.

* In the second overtime Dominican's Megan Geary was able to get a shot-on goal but Pudlo recorded her eighth save of the day to prevent the Chargers from scoring.

* Holy Family had one more opportunity to score in the 109th minute. Freshman Stephanie Marino (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) was able to get a shot off but it ricochet off the cross bar. It turned out to be the final shot by either team.

News and Notes

* Pudlo finished with eight saves on the afternoon and now has 50 on the year.  She also surpasses 100 saves in her career pushing her into 10th all-time.  Pudlo is the 10th goalkeeper in program history to record 100 or more saves.  She currently has 104 saves in her career.

* Both Holy Family and Dominican finished the game with 16 shots and ironically enough each team had nine shots on-goal.  The Tigers controlled the corner kick opportunities by a large margin of 9-1.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 26th meeting between Holy Family and Dominican dating back to the 1997 season.  The Tigers are now 18-4-4 versus the Chargers in the all-time series.  Prior to today's tie the Tigers had won the last 10 games in the series.  In addition, the goal by Dominican is its first against the Tigers since 2013.

Postseason Scenario
Holy Family currently sits in fourth place in the CACC standings and could host a quarterfinal game to open the CACC Tournament.  The Tigers would need Caldwell University to lose one of its final two regular season conference games to go along with a Holy Family victory in its regular season finale to secure the fourth seed.  If Caldwell wins out or if the Cougars split and the Tigers lose their finale it would then be Caldwell securing the fourth or third seed and the Tigers finishing fifth.

Next Up
Holy Family closes out the regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 6 as the Tigers host Chestnut Hill College in a CACC contest.  Game time is set for 2 p.m. at Tiger Field.
