Game Recap

* Holy Family was first to light up the scoreboard after sophomore Georg Montag (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) converted a penalty kick attempt in the 14th minute.  A Dominican foul inside the box led the PK as Montag tallied his fifth goal of the season setting a new career-high.

* Later in the half the Tigers doubled their lead thanks to sophomore Will Stackhouse's (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) first goal of the season.  In the 37th minute, Stackhouse fired a shot just outside the box that sailed over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.  Senior Shane Holmes (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge (Harcum College)) assisted on the score.

* Leading 2-0 early in the second half the Tigers tacked on another score for good measure.  This time it was junior Davis Habilaj (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) who found the back of the net.  Habilaj took a pass from Stackhouse inside the box and found an opening at the bottom left corner of the net for the score.  It marked his seventh of the season and 10th of his career.

* Dominican finally got on the board in the 63rd minute when Maximino Casares Martinez scored off a pass from Marco Oliveri to make the score 3-1.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 25th meeting between Holy Family and Dominican dating back to the 1998 season.  The Tigers are now 8-14-3 versus the Chargers and snapped a nine-game losing streak in the series.  It marks Holy Family's first win against Dominican since winning 3-2 in 2011.

Postseason Scenarios
Seven of the eight postseason teams are set.  Where they will fall is still up in the air.  Holy Family currently sits fourth in the CACC standings and could finish as high as second if the Tigers win their regular season finale and Post University loses its finale.  A win would put the Tigers in a tie for second with Goldey-Beacom College with 24 points but due to the regular season victory the Tigers hold the head-to-head tie-break.  If all three finish with 24 points, the Tigers would be second followed by Post in third and Goldey-Beacom in fourth.  A regular season defeat will result in the Tigers either staying fourth or finishing as low as seventh pending how the rest of the games play out.

Next Up
Holy Family wraps up the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 5 as the Tigers host Chestnut Hill College in a CACC contest.  Game time is set for 2 p.m. at Tiger Field.
