Tigers Upended by City Rival Jefferson



Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University women's soccer team suffered its first blemish in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Thursday as the Tigers fell to city rival Jefferson, 3-0, at Ravenhill Field.

*  Jefferson's MaryKate Ulmer accounted for all the offense in the game as she tallied three goals on the day to record a hat trick.  Ulmer gave the Rams a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute with her first of three scores.  She went on to tally two-second half goals in the 56th and 86th minutes. 
 
* The Jefferson defense limited the Tigers to a season-low three shots and one shot on-goal for the entire game.  The Rams themselves finished the game with 23 total shots.
 
* Junior goalkeeper Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) recorded a career-high 11 saves in net for the Tigers.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 26th meeting between Holy Family and Jefferson dating back to the 1998 season.  The Tigers are now 11-11-4 versus the Rams in the all-time series.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 12 as the Tigers travel to face Caldwell University in a rematch of last years CACC Championship game.  Game time is set for 11 a.m. in Caldwell, N.J.
