Game Recap

* One goal was all the Tigers would need and it came in the 13th minute of play.  Staropoli from 30-yards out launched a shot from the right-side that went through the hands of Wilmington goalkeeper Emily Camp's hands as she tried to make a leaping stop.

* Wilmington had opportunities to tie the game including back-to-back shots in the 21st minute but Holy Family junior keeper Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) made the stop on each attempt.  In the 31st minute a header shot by Samantha Emmi hit the post as the Wildcats were unable to get anything into the back of the net.

* In the second half more struggles for the Wilmington offense.  In the 51st minute Jasmine Brake was able to get a shot off inside the box but it hit off the crossbar.  Jessica Unsihuay followed with a shot off the rebounded ball but it sailed high over the net.

* Pudlo came through with another key save that preserved the shutout.  In the 77th minute she made an impressive stop on a point-blank shot by Kasie Lambert.  It turned out to be the Wildcats final shot attempt of the game.

News and Notes

* Staropoli's goal marked the first of her career.

* Pudlo finished with five saves in net for the Tigers as she notched her first shutout of the season and the third of her career.

* Holy Family attempted nine corner kicks in the game compared to only two by the Wildcats.  In the Tigers' last two games the team has totaled 21 corner kicks.  The first five games of the season the Tigers totaled a combined 22.

* Though early in the season, the Tigers are one of two teams in the CACC that are currently perfect in conference play.  City rival Jefferson is currently 2-0-0 but lead Chestnut Hill College, 3-0, at the half at time of release.
