How It Happened

* Holy Family opened the game with a 16-2 run as the Tigers held Goldey-Beacom to just 1-of-9 shooting from the field in the first nine minutes of the game.  Despite the large deficit early on in the game, the Lightning managed to cut the deficit down to four points (35-31) with :38 seconds remaining in the opening half.  Freshman Kharon Randolph (Philadelphia, Pa./Haverford School), who led the Tigers with 19 points, drained a three-pointer to cap the scoring in the half as Holy Family led 38-31.

* The Holy Family offense continued to cause havoc for the Goldey-Beacom defense in the second half.  The Tigers used a 23-13 surge to grab their biggest lead of the game by the 8:53 mark.  Senior Jalen Thompson's (Wilmington, Del./Concord (Harford C.C.)) jumper made the score 63-44 as the Tigers' lead swelled to 19 points.

* Holy Family shot just over 50-percent from the field for the game after connecting on 14-of-30 attempts in the first half and 17-of-31 in the second half.  The Tigers also converted 13-of-17 from the free throw line.

News and Notes
