Tigers and Bears End in 0-0 Draw



Newtown, Pa. - The Holy Family University women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw with visiting Bloomfield College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Saturday afternoon at Walt Snyder Stadium on the campus of Council Rock High School North.

How It Happened
 
* Freshman goalkeeper Alayna McSeed (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) preserved the shutout as she made three saves in net for the Tigers.  The Bears managed 14 shots in the game, but only three were on target. 
 
* The Holy Family offense pressured Bloomfield goalkeeper Jessica Larson all afternoon with 20 shots, including four in the two overtime periods.  Larson stopped all 12 shots that were on-goal by the Tigers.  She also kept the Tigers off the scoreboard in overtime as three of Holy Family's four shots were on target in overtime.
 
* Senior Bree Rock (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) and freshman Kaitlyn Findlay (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) led the team with four shots each with both players connecting on three shots on-goal.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 22nd meeting between Holy Family and Bloomfield since the start of the 1997 season.  Prior to today's 0-0 draw, the Tigers won the previous 21 games in the series and are now 21-0-1 versus the Bears in the all-time series.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Monday, Sept. 24 as the Tigers host Mercy College in a non-conference contest. Game time is set for 4 p.m. at Tiger Field.
