How It Happened

* Holy Family scored two first half goals to take control of the game.  Sophomore Matt Flanagan (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) scored his second goal of the season in the 28th minute after receiving a pass from fellow sophomore Sean McCormick (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge)

* The Tigers doubled the lead right before halftime when sophomore Mike Smith (Southampton, Pa./Archbishop Wood) connected on his first goal of the season.  Freshman Georg Montag (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and Joel Richmond (Bridgetown, Barbados/Church Farm) setup the scoring play in the 42nd minute.

* McCormick and Flanagan teamed up again in the 56th minute but it was McCormick this time with the score.  Flanagan launched a free kick from about 40-yards out towards the net and found McCormick for his first goal of the season.

* The Bears finally found the back of the net less than a minute after McCormick's goal.  Arman Bashiri scored his first goal of the season.  He would later score again late in the 88th minute to bring the Bears to within one goal of the lead. That would be the final shot the Tigers allowed in the 3-2 victory.

News and Notes

* Flanagan and McCormick led the Tigers with three points on the afternoon with a goal and an assist each.
