East Stroudsburg, Pa. - The Holy Family University men's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest at East Stroudsburg University by the score of 2-1 on Tuesday night at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

How It Happened
 
* East Stroudsburg grabbed the game's first lead when Jordon Ellison scored his first goal of the season in the 21st minute.
 
* The Warriors' lead was short-lived as freshman Georg Montag (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) tied the game in the 22nd minute with his team-leading third goal of the season.  Montag scored off a free kick started by freshman Joel Richmond (Bridgetown, Barbados/Church Farm) who was credited with the assists.
 
* Montag nearly came away with another goal in the first half but his shot in the 38th minute hit off the crossbar.  The scored remained tied 1-1 heading into halftime.
 
* The Warriors broke the tie early in the second half when Irvin Zuzic hit a header off a corner kick attempt by Ellison for his second goal of the season in the 48th minute.
 
News and Notes
 
* Senior Mark Pohl (Feasterville, Pa./Father Judge) made a season-high seven saves in net for the Tigers.
 
* Junior Shane Holmes (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge (Harcum College)) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 16 as announced by the conference office earlier today.  In addition, junior Mark Tobin (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (La Salle Univ.)) was selected to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll.
 
* East Stroudsburg outshot Holy Family, 24-5. 
 
* East Stroudsburg's Eddy Enowbi led the game with six total shots, while Ellison totaled five with four going on-goal.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the seventh meeting between Holy Family and East Stroudsburg since the start of the 2002 season and the first since 2012.  The Warriors are 6-1-0 versus the Tigers in the all-time series.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 22 as the Tigers host Bloomfield College in a CACC contest.  Game time is set for 2:30 p.m. at Tiger Field.
