How it Happened

* All the goal scoring happened late in this one as the Tigers broke a 0-0 deadlock in the 79th minute.  Freshman Georg Montag (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) connected on his second goal of the season after receiving a pass through the center from sophomore Sean McCormick (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge)

* The Tigers doubled their lead in the 88th minute when sophomore Matt Flanagan (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) scored his first collegiate goal.  Flanagan took the ball up the field himself and beat the Post goalkeeper for the score.

News and Notes

* The Holy Family defense shutdown the Post offense in the second half allowing only two shots after the Eagles got off seven in the first half.

* Junior transfer Mark Tobin (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (La Salle Univ.)) recorded his second straight shutout as he made three saves in net for the Tigers.

* The 3-0-0 mark in conference play is the Tigers' best start versus conference opponents since the 2011 season when the team went 5-0-1 over their first six CACC contest.

All-Time Series
This evening marked the 23rd meeting between Holy Family and Post dating back to the 1999 season.  The Tigers are now 10-10-3 versus the Eagles after picking up their first win in the series since 2014.
