How It Happened

* One shot turned out to be the difference in the game and it came off the foot of sophomore Mohamed Elgayar (Philadelphia, Pa. (Egypt)/Northeast).  In the 48th minute, Elgayar received a cross pass from the right side from freshman Joel Richmond (Bridgetown, Barbados/Church Farm) and delivered a shot towards the lower left of the net beating the GCU goalkeeper.  Elgayar's goal marked his first of the season.

News and Notes

* The Holy Family defense limited the Lightning to just four shots the entire game with two coming in each half.

* Junior transfer Mark Tobin (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (La Salle Univ.)) recorded his first career shutout victory in a Tigers uniform as he made two saves in net.

* The Tigers are 2-0-0 to start conference play for the first time since the 2011 season when the team went 5-0-1 over their first six CACC contests.
