Tigers Shutout by Greyhounds, 1-0



Worcester, Mass. - The Holy Family University men's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest at Assumption College by the score of 1-0 on Saturday evening at Multi-Sport Stadium.

How It Happened
 
* Junior Alex Moschella broke a 0-0 tie minutes before halftime to give Assumption a 1-0 lead.  It marked his first goal of the season coming in the 43rd minute.
 
* In the 28th minute the Tigers nearly came away with the game's first score but a header shot by sophomore Davis Habilaj (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) was saved by Assumption keeper Sebastian Jimenez.  Jimenez made five saves in the game to earn his second shutout victory of the season.
 
News and Notes
 
* Junior transfer from La Salle University, Mark Tobin (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic (La Salle Univ.)), made his first start in net for the Tigers.  He made four saves after facing 19 total shots by the Greyhounds.  Assumption only connected on six shots on-goal.
 
* Sophomore Prince Komoh (Monrovia, Liberia/Kensington Health Sciences Academy) led the Tigers with two total shots.
 
All-Time Series
This evening marked the third meeting between Holy Family and Assumption in the all-time series and the first since the 2007 season.  The Tigers are now 2-1-0 versus the Greyhounds.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 4 as the Tigers continue their four-game road trip to start the season with a non-conference contest at Saint Thomas Aquinas College.  Game time is set for 2 p.m.
