How It Happened

* Holy Family opened the scoring with two straight goals to take an early 2-0 advantage.  However, Dominican responded with four unanswered scores with Jenna Fox accounting for three of them.  The latter came with 15:32 as Dominican led 4-2.

* In a back-and-forth game the Tigers eventually tied the game with less than ten minutes to play when Bachmayer connected on career goal 99 to make the score 6-6.  Both teams would exchange leads before Bachmayer gave the Tigers the lead at 9-8 with her 100th career goal at the 5:11 mark.  Another score by the Chargers tied the game before junior Vanessa Pagliei (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) gave the Tigers the lead again with 3:12 to play.  The game would see its 20th goal scored before halftime with Dominican capping the scoring in the final :90 seconds when Taylor Sobel scored her first goal of the season tying the game at 10-10.

* In the second half both teams exchanged goals to open the half before Dominican went on a 6-0 run; the biggest rally of the game.  The Chargers led 17-11 after Jenna Kelleher capped the run with 15:37 to play.

* Holy Family scored four of the next five goals to cut the lead down to 18-15 with 11:38 to play.  Another goal by Dominican gave the Chargers a 19-15 lead but that didn't halt the Tigers.  Holy Family scored back-to-back goals to cut the lead down to 19-17 with less than three minutes to play.

* That was as close as the Tigers would get despite having a free position shot in the final seconds that could have cut the lead to one but the clock was playing against the team's favor.
