How It Happened

* It was a back-and-forth game as neither team managed a lead larger than two goals in the first half.  When it was all said and done the game was tied at 9-9 entering halftime.

* Holy Family opened the second half scoring four of the first five goals, including three straight to take the game's biggest lead at that point at 13-10.  The three unanswered turned out to be the difference in the game as the Tigers never relinquished the lead.  Senior Rose Bachmayer (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) scored back-to-back goals with the latter coming at the 17:25 mark.  Twelve seconds later, junior Vanessa Pagliei (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) found the back of the net to give the Tigers the three goal lead.

* Post cut the lead down to one with two straight goals by Savannah Schwack making the score 13-12 with less than 14 minutes to play.  As the half progressed the Tigers built their lead back up to three scores when sophomore Casey Brown (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) and junior Caleigh Gallagher (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) scored to make the score 16-13 by the 8:32 mark.

* The Eagles would once again rally and cut the lead down to a single goal with two unanswered goals by Sydney Hogan within an :11 second span.  Gabriela Middleton assisted on both goals after winning the draw to make the score 16-15.

* Just like earlier in the half the Tigers responded with two goals of their own to cap the scoring in the game.  Bachmayer came through with a score at the 5:21 mark, while Brown tacked on another with less than two minutes to play.
