How It Happened (Game 1)

* Both teams scored a run in the first inning and that's where things stood entering the top half of the fifth.  The Tigers came away with three runs in the inning to take a 4-1 lead.  Sophomore Tyler Beccari (Havertown, Pa./Haverford (Temple)) was credited with a run scoring single and then came across to score when junior Olivia Nolan (Shoreline, Wash./Shorecrest) connected on her seventh home run of the season.

* Holy Family tacked on another run in the sixth and scored two more in the seventh after taking advantage of two Concordia errors.

* Junior Casey Boltersdorf (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) (2-8) went the distance for the Tigers allowing only one earned run in seven innings of work.  Boltersdorf held the Clippers to just two hits the first six innings before allowing a pair of singles in the seventh.  She finished the game with four strikeouts.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* Just like game one both teams exchanged runs in the first inning.  Starting pitcher Koreen Orozco (Whittier, Calif./St. Paul) helped her own cause with a run scoring double to open the scoring.

* Holy Family scored a run in each of the next three innings to take a 4-1 advantage into the top half of the fifth.  The Tigers blew the game open with three runs increasing their lead to 7-1. Senior Jen Trapp (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County), sophomore Julia Vizza (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) and sophomore Kelsey Marigliano (Seaford, N.Y./Plainledge) each recorded back-to-back-back run scoring singles to account for the runs.

* The Tigers added a run in the sixth to make the score 8-1 before Concordia got one of the runs back in the bottom of the seventh.  Orozco (4-8) picked up her fourth win of the season with a complete game effort.  She allowed only two earned runs and struck out four batters.

Game Notes

* Senior Taylor Favinger (Deptford, N.J./Gloucester County Inst. of Tech.) drove in a pair runs in the two games for career RBI 100 and 101.  She is the first player in the program's NCAA Division II era to record 100 or more RBI in a career.  Favinger currently ranks second all-time in program history behind former standout Sharon Brown (1996-1999) who totaled 115 in her four-year career.

* Nolan finished the doubleheader 2-for-5 at the plate with three runs, three RBI and three walks.

* Each player with a plate appearance in game two recorded a hit for the Tigers.  Four players had two hits apiece, including Marigliano, Favinger, Orozco and Beccari.

* Concordia's Shayla Peterson went 2-for-3 in game one, while Tori Tansley had a pair of hits (2-3) in game two.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 17th and 18th meetings between Holy Family and Concordia since the start of the 2010 season.  The Tigers are now 16-2 versus the Clippers in the all-time series and have won eight straight.
