How It Happened (Game 1)

* Bloomfield jumped out front early in this one with five runs within the first two innings, including a four-run second frame.  Delanie Cruz accounted for four of the five runs as she drove in a run with a single in the first and then came up big with a bases clearing double in the second that plated three runs.

* Bloomfield starter Kiersten Coho (2-5) held the Holy Family offense in check until through the first six innings before the Tigers broke out with a pair of runs in the seventh.  Junior Sam Klem (San Diego, Calif./Clairemont) broke up the shutout with a two-out solo home run; her first of the year and 10th in her career.  Sophomore Julia Vizza (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) drew a pinch-hit walk and went on to score after a double by sophomore Kelsey Marigliano (Seaford, N.Y./Plainledge).

* Coho picked up her second win of the season holding the Tigers to two runs and five hits in seven innings of work while striking out four.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* Bloomfield once again jumped out front early with a run in the first inning but Holy Family countered in the top of the second when senior Koreen Orozco (Whittier, Calif./St. Paul) connected on her second home run of the season and seventh of her career to tie the game.

* Just like game one, another big inning by the Bears turned out to be the difference.  Bloomfield plated four runs in the third to take a 5-1 lead.  Lauren Nickerson highlighted the inning with a two-run double.

* The Tigers scored in the fourth when Klem was hit with a pitch forcing in a run.  Holy Family's final run came in the sixth after a double by Marigliano scored senior Jen Trapp (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County).

Game Notes

* Marigliano finished the day 3-for-8 with two RBI and two doubles.  Klem went 3-for-5 with two RBI to go along with her solo homer in game one.

* Bloomfield's Sarisha Daugherty went 3-for-4 with two RBI in game two and finished the afternoon with four hits and two walks.  Cruz led the Bears with four RBI; all coming in the first game.
