 How It Happened

* Holy Family trailed majority of the first half and even fell behind by as many as 12 points at the 2:26 mark of the half.  Three free throws by Marcellus Livington gave the Lightning a 37-25 lead.  However, the Tigers went on a quick run to close out the half thanks to two big three-pointers by freshmen Michael Power (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) and Terrell Jones (Ardmore, Pa./Lower Merion).  The 7-0 surge cut into the lead as the Lightning only led 37-32 at halftime.

* In the second half the Tigers cut the lead down to three points (37-34) at the 17:23 mark, but the Lightning responded with a 21-3 run over the next six-plus minutes to grab their biggest lead of the game.  A jumper by Corey Taite capped the run and gave the Lightning a 58-37 lead with 11:38 to play.

* Holy Family made a run of its own over the next six minutes and cut the lead down to five points with a 19-3 rally.  The Tigers made the score 61-56 with less than six minutes remaining.  However, Goldey-Beacom would bring its lead back to double-digits thanks to an 11-2 run over the next five minutes to secure the victory.
