How It Happened

* Caldwell held the biggest lead of the first half after going on an 11-0 run after the Tigers grabbed a two-point lead at 27-25 at the 8:38 mark.  The Cougars grabbed a nine-point advantage and led 36-27 with less than five minutes to play in the half.  Holy Family quickly erased the deficit with three straight three-pointers on three consecutive possessions to tie the game at 36-36 with three-minutes left in the half.  Caldwell scored the final two points of the half to lead 38-36 entering the locker rooms at halftime.

* In the second half the Cougars would build their lead to as many as 15 points and led 64-49 at the 8:21 mark.  The Tigers once again chipped away at the lead and came within four points when freshman Terrell Jones (Ardmore, Pa./Lower Merion) knocked down his seventh three-pointer of the game.  His deep range shot made the score 65-61.  However, that would be the Tigers final basket of the game as the Cougars held Holy Family scoreless the final 3:31 to come away with a 69-61 victory.
