How It Happened

* Holy Family jumped out to the game's first lead early in the first half.  Freshman Jacqueline Ziegler (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead as she connected on her eighth goal of the season in the 17th minute.  Senior Bree Rock (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) assisted on the play.

* The Tigers held the lead until late in the first half when the Lightning tied the game at 1-1 in the 41st minute.  Jenna Fannon scored her 14th goal of the season to tie the game.

* The tie didn't last long as Holy Family quickly regained the lead.  Rock tallied her conference leading 19th goal of the season in the 43rd minute to score what turned out to be the game-winning goal.  Junior Jess Elliott (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) set up the score as she collected a loose ball that was mishandled by the Goldey-Beacom keeper.  Elliott was able to pass the ball to Rock who in return found the back of the net for the score.

* It was an evenly played game as Goldey-Beacom held a slight edge on shots, 12-11.  Both teams had a pair of corner kick attempts; one in each half.
