How It Happened

* Holy Family struck first and early to put the pressure on the Wildcats.  Freshman Jacqueline Ziegler (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) came through with her seventh goal of the season in the 18th minute.  Ziegler had a two-on-one with the Wilmington defender and beat the keeper for the score.

* Still holding a 1-0 advantage early in the second half, the Tigers doubled their lead thanks to senior Bree Rock's (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) 18th goal of the season in the 52nd minute.  Sophomore Lena Staropoli (Perkasie, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) set the play up with a long pass up the right side as Rock finished with a shot that sailed over the keeper's head.

*  Wilmington cut the Tigers' lead in half with its lone goal of the game coming off the foot of La'Dae Boykin in the 69th minute.  Rebecca Dolhansky sent a pass towards the box off a free kick from about midfield to set up the score.

News and Notes

* Rock's goal in the 52nd minute marked her 51st of her career as well as her 121st point of her career.  She is now one goal and one point shy of tying former standout Donna Elliott (1997-99) for third on the program's all-time goals and points list.  Rock's goal also increased her season points total to 41 tying her career-high.

* Sophomore Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) picked up her first career postseason victory in net for the Tigers as she made two saves in net.  She now has 50 saves on the year and improved to 8-4-0.

* The Holy Family offense outshot the Wildcats, 15-6, in the game and held a 5-2 advantage on corner kicks.
