How It Happened

* Holy Family nearly overcame an 11-point second half deficit as the Tigers had multiple chances to either tie or take the lead after coming within one possession of the Wilmington lead.  The latter coming with three minutes to play in regulation after sophomore Sean Griffin (Abington, Pa./philmont Christian) brought the Tigers to within two points of the lead at 58-56 after a layup basket.

* Turnovers hurt the Tigers' chances after three on three straight possessions resulted in missed opportunities to tie the game.  However, each time the Tigers made stops on the defensive end not allowing Wilmington to capitalize on the miscues.

* Still trailing by two with the score sitting at 58-56 the Tigers had possession with :11 seconds remaining after sophomore Manny Casie (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) intercepted a pass resulting in a steal and a Wildcats' turnover. The Tigers on their ensuing possession were called for an offensive foul giving the ball back to Wilmington.  The Tigers were forced to foul and in return the Wildcats converted two free throws to lead 60-56 with :10 seconds showing.  Wilmington would go on to force another turnover to secure the win.
