Bloomfield, N.J. - The Holy Family University men's basketball team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest at Bloomfield College by the score of 92-75 on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
 
* A second half surge by the Bears turned out to be the difference in the game.  Leading 51-45, Bloomfield went on a 19-8 run over a six-plus minute span to grab a 17-point advantage.  A jumped by Rakwan Kelly at the 9:16 mark made the score 70-53. 
 
* Holy Family cut the deficit down to single digits late in the half.  The Tigers used a run of 16-8 over the next five minutes.  A three-pointer by Michael Power (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) capped the run as his deep range shot made the score 78-69 with less than five minutes to play.
 
* Bloomfield quickly returned its lead to double-digits by scoring the game's next six points and went on to maintain its advantage the rest of the way outscoring the Tigers, 14-6.
 
Inside the Box Score
Holy Family: Sophomore Maliq Sanders (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) and Power each scored 19 points while shooting an identical 7-of-16 from the field… Power also dished out a season-high seven assists to go with his season-high scoring output… Sophomore Sean Griffin (Abington, Pa./philmont Christian) finished with 11 points and seven rebounds, while sophomore Manny Casie (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) scored a career-high nine points… Freshman Terrell Jones (Ardmore, Pa./Lower Merion) contributed seven rebounds and a season-high eight assists.
 
Bloomfield: All five starters scored in double-figures for the Bears… Matt Lajeunesse led the way with 19 points (8-12 FG) and nine rebounds… Keith Washington came away with 18 points, six boards and eight assists, while Nick Davidson totaled 17 points and six rebounds… Kelly recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Safee Abdus-Sabur contributed 13 points and eight rebounds.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 23rd meeting all-time between Holy Family and Bloomfield in the Tigers' Division II era dating back to the start of the 2003-04 season.  The Tigers are now 11-12 versus their cross division rival after the Bears snapped Holy Family's four-game winning streak in the series.
 
Next Up
Holy Family will take a break from conference play and host the University of the District of Columbia on Tuesday, Jan. 30 in a non-conference contest. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. from inside the Campus Center Gymnasium.
