How It Happened

* A big second quarter helped propel the Tigers to their fourth straight victory.  Trailing 12-1 early in the second quarter, a basket by sophomore Elizabeth Radley (Hainesport, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep) gave the Tigers the lead.  From there, Holy Family went on to outscore the Golden Falcons, 18-9.  Junior Katie O'Hare (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin) knocked down back-to-back three-pointers to cap the scoring for the Tigers before Felician's Kameron Stone scored a layup with :16 seconds remaining in the quarter.  Holy Family led 29-21 at halftime.

*  Holy Family never relinquished its lead the rest of the way and led by as many as 13 points late in the third quarter.  A pair of free throws by freshman Anjelai Hayes (Woodbury, N.J./Woodbury) made the score 43-30 with 2:02 to play in the third.

* In the fourth quarter Felician made a run and cut the Holy Family lead down to three points (45-42) by the 5:59 mark but the Tigers were resilient and responded with a run of their own.  Holy Family scored nine of the game's next 11 points to increase its lead back to double-figures.  Junior Casey Thomas (Hammonton, N.J./Cedar Creek) capped the run with a jump shot that made the score 54-44 with 2:44 to play.

* Holy Family converted 5-of-8 from the free throw line in the final minute to hold off the Golden Falcons and secure the victory.  The Tigers finished the game 22-of-32 from the line in the game, while Felician was just 9-of-14.
