How It Happened

* Dominican erased an 11-point deficit to start the fourth quarter and grabbed its first lead of the game with :47 seconds remaining in regulation when Taylor Tomlinson knocked down a jump shot to give the Chargers a 53-52 advantage.

* On the ensuing Holy Family possession senior Alexis Hofstaedter (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South (William & Mary)) missed her initial jumper but freshman Jada Smith (Philadelphia, Pa./Merion Mercy Academy) was there to grab a key offensive board. Smith then dished a pass to Hofstaedter who in return connected for the two-point score to give the Tigers a one-point lead at 54-53 with :17 seconds remaining.

* Dominican followed with a turnover after an offensive foul was called and as a result the Chargers were forced to foul four straight times before Holy Family was sent to the free throw line.  Junior Katie O'Hare (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin) knocked down both free throws to make it a three-point game (56-53) with only five seconds showing on the clock.  Outside a Dominican timeout, the Chargers were able to get off a three-point shot to potentially tie the game but junior Casey Thomas (Hammonton, N.J./Cedar Creek) blocked the shot by Alpreshia Parker.  After a team offensive board, the Chargers managed a shot at the buzzer but it was short allowing Holy Family to escape with a three-point victory.

* Holy Family led the entire game outside the brief moment Dominican led 54-53.  The Tigers biggest lead of the game came at the 3:01 mark of the second quarter after freshman Anjelai Hayes (Woodbury, N.J./Woodbury) converted a pair of free throws to make the score 31-15.
