How It Happened

* Holy Family had an opportunity early on in the game to grab the first lead of the contest.  In the 11th minute the Tigers were awarded a penalty kick.  Senior Connor Stackhouse (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) attempted the kick for the Tigers but Caldwell goalkeeper Nils Svere made the stop preventing the early goal.

* Defense played a factor in the first half for both teams, as neither squad was able to find the back of the net for the first 42-plus minutes.  However, Caldwell managed to sneak the game's first goal minutes before halftime when Italo Cardoso blasted a shot from 18-yards for his first score of the season in the 43rd minute.

* Caldwell went on to score three goals in the second half to take control of the game.  The Cougars tallied scores by Joaquin Escudero in the 54th minute followed by back-to-back goals from Tom Yorston in the 73rd minute and Kevin Avila in the 77th minute.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 21st meeting between Holy Family and Caldwell dating back to the 1997 season.  The Tigers are now 8-12-1 versus the Cougars in the all-time series.
