How It Happened

* Holy Family scored first when freshman Mike Smith (Southampton, Pa./Archbishop Wood) drove home a rebounded ball past Nyack goalkeeper Alvaro Magel.  Smith collected the ball after Magel made an initial save on a shot by junior Matt Tracey (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington).  It marked Smith's first collegiate goal coming in the 21st minute.

* The score remained 1-0 until the second half when Holy Family struck again as another freshman came through with his first collegiate score.  Mohamed Elgayar (Philadelphia, Pa. (Egypt)/Northeast) doubled the team's lead in the 66th minute with a goal that was set up by senior Mariano Cepeda (Philadelphia, Pa. (Argentina)/Roman Catholic).

* Later in the second half the Tigers saw their lead diminish.  The Warriors finally got on the board in the 71st minute when Storm Glautier scored his first goal of the season. Just a little over 10 minutes later Nyack tied the game at 2-2 after Finn Reese scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season off a penalty kick in the 83rd minute.

* In overtime the Warriors tallied the only two shots in the extra period with the final being the game-winner.  Daniel Larson connected on his second goal of the season in the 93rd minute to give Nyack the 3-2 victory.
