How It Happened
Holy Family trailed majority of the game but a five goal run by the Tigers over a three-minute span midway through the second half erased a two-goal deficit.  Trailing 10-8, sophomore Devon Felix (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) recorded back-to-back goals within :36 seconds of one another to tie the game, 10-10, at the 18:06 mark.

Fellow sophomore Vanessa Pagliei (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) followed with the go-ahead goal to give the Tigers their first lead of the game at 17:53.  Junior Rose Bachmayer (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) then came through with back-to-back scores, both assisted by senior Nicole Mansi (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Twp.), to give the Tigers a 13-10 advantage with 16:20 to play in the half.

As the half progressed both teams exchanged goals as Holy Family still maintained its three-goal advantage.  However, with just over nine minutes remaining in regulation the Eagles rallied to score the game's final four goals.  Aolani Hermosura came through with the equalizer at 7:15 and then Nicole Evans gave Post the lead with a goal at the 5:56 mark.

With 4:14 to play in regulation the game was delayed for over an hour after a thunderstorm came through the area.  When play resumed the Tigers nearly tied the game when Bachmayer launched a shot on-goal but Post goalkeeper, Alana Lopez, made the stop to preserve the lead.  It was the Tigers final shot of the game as the Eagles managed to hold on to the lead in the final minutes of the game.
