Booth Breaks Record as Tigers Face Chargers



Hillburn, N.Y. - Senior Kacie Booth (Maple Shade, N.J./Maple Shade) became the program's all-time leader in caused turnovers as the Holy Family University women's lacrosse team took on Dominican College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Saturday afternoon at Torne Valley Complex.  The Chargers defeated the Tigers, 26-12.

How It Happened
Dominican scored the game's first five goals and never looked back. Holy Family did respond with three straight goals by three different players to cut the deficit to 5-3, but the Chargers went on to score four of the game's next five games to bring their lead back up to five.
 
Dominican would go on to lead 15-9 by the end of the first half and grabbed a double-digit advantage by the midway point of the second half.  The Chargers scored the final five goals of the game and outscored the Tigers, 11-3, in the final half.
 
Inside the Box Score
Holy Family: Junior Rose Bachmayer (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and sophomore Devon Felix (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) each scored three goals to lead the Tigers' offense… Bachmayer also recorded a pair of assists to finish with five points and led the team with nine draw controls…Sophomore Dana Trevito (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) and freshman Raquelle Williams (Brighton, MI./Brighton) each tallied a pair of goals.
 
Dominican: Haliann Fitzgerald and Alayna Heegan each scored six goals and one assist for the Chargers…Katie Dascher finished with four goals, while Shayne Gallagher came away with four goals and two assists…Jenna Fox totaled a game-high 11 draw controls to go along with three goals and two assists.
 
Defensive Standard
Booth entered the game tied with former standout Kimber Kisselback for most caused turnovers in program history with 58… In the final minute of today's game Booth recorded caused turnover number 59 to set a new program standard… It marked her eighth caused turnover of the season.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 13th meeting all-time between Holy Family and Dominican dating back to the 2009 season.  The Chargers' victory snapped the Tigers' seven-game winning streak in the series, as Holy Family is now 8-5 against Dominican.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Wednesday, April 12 as the Tigers host Felician University in a CACC contest. Game time is set for 4 p.m. at Tiger Field.
