Game One: Holy Family 15, Bridgeport 3
The Holy Family offense erupted for 15 runs on 14 hits in a rout versus the Purple Knights in game one.  The Tigers opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the first inning.  Senior Brianna Scotto (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) and junior Jen Trapp (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County) each had back-to-back run scoring hits with two outs in the inning.  The Tigers added another pair of runs second after taking advantage of a pair of Bridgeport fielding errors.  Junior Taylor Favinger (Deptford, N.J./Gloucester County Inst. of Tech.) had a run scoring hit in the inning.

The Tigers blew the game wide open in the third by scoring seven runs on five hits.  Junior Olivia Nolan (Shoreline, Wash./Shorecrest) and Favinger each delivered two-run hits in the inning.  Nolan a two-run single and Favinger a two-run triple.

Bridgeport scored two runs in the bottom of the third to make the score, 11-3, but the deficit was too much to overcome.  Holy Family added two more runs in each the fourth and fifth innings.

Senior Bailey Walters (Ridgecrest, Calif./Burroughs) (6-4) picked up her sixth victory of the season as she went five innings allowing three runs on three hits.  She struck out five batters in the game.

Favinger (2-4) had a pair of hits in the game and scored two runs while driving in three.  Nolan (2-3) also drove in three runs with two hits.  Junior Tori Hernandez (Benton, Ark./Bryant) and freshman Alina Ponce de Leon each scored three times in the victory.

Stephanie Dean led the Purple Knights with two hits and drove in a run.

Game Two: Bridgeport 5, Holy Family 2
In the second game the Purple Knights used a four-run sixth inning pull away from the Tigers.  Ashley Hessler highlighted the inning with a two-run home run before Bridgeport tacked on two more runs in the inning.  Meghan O'Leary capped the scoring with a run scoring double to make the score 5-1.

In the seventh, Holy Family loaded the bases and managed to score one run when Orozco drew a bases loaded walk.  However, that would be all the Tigers could muster as the Purple Knights held on to the three-run victory.

Orozco drove in the team's first run in the sixth inning with a single.  She finished the game 2-for-2 at the plate.  Freshman Kelsey Marigliano (Seaford, N.Y./Plainledge) also had a pair of hits for the Tigers.

Orozco (11-8) went 5.1 innings in the pitching circle.  She allowed three earned runs on six hits while striking out three.
