How It Happened
The game came down to the final minute of action in regulation.   Trailing 76-73, freshman Randy Bell (Sicklerville, N.J./Timber Creek) scored a fast-break layup to cut the lead down to one point with :52 seconds remaining.  On the following Felician possession, the Golden Falcons grabbed a key offensive rebound that forced Holy Family to quickly foul.

As a result, Terrell Spaulding was sent to the free throw line to attempt two free throws with :16 seconds remaining.  Spaulding went on to make both attempts to give the Golden Falcons a 78-75 lead.

With three seconds left on the clock, Bell was fouled attempting a three-pointer and was awarded three free throws.  After making the first two, Bell missed the third as Felician collected the defensive board resulting in Holy Family to quickly foul.  This time it was Jamar Redmond that made back-to-back attempts to give the Golden Falcons another three-point lead (80-77) with one-second left in the game.

Unfortunately, the Tigers were unable to get a shot off to attempt to tie the game before the final horn as the Golden Falcons prevailed to the one possession victory.
