Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University women's basketball team dropped a non-conference contest to visiting West Chester University by the score of 74-67 on Sunday afternoon inside the Campus Center Gymnasium.

How It Happened
A fourth quarter rally by West Chester turned the game around in favor of the Rams.  Holy Family led by as many as seven points in the quarter after a three-pointer by junior Katie O'Hare made the score 65-58 at the 6:05 mark.  The Rams followed with a 7-0 run to tie the game when Mia Hopkins tied the game with a three-point play with less than three minutes to play in the quarter. Both teams exchanged baskets on the next two possessions before West Chester seven unanswered points the final 1:31 minutes of regulation to close out the come-from-behind victory.

Holy Family: Junior Casey Thomas (Hammonton, N.J., Cedar Creek) recorded her first double-double of the season as she finished with career-highs in points (22) and rebounds (12)… She shot 10-of-19 from the field and was 2-of-5 from the free throw line… Senior Alexis Hofstaedter (Richboro, Pa., Council Rock South (William & Mary)) finished with 11 points and six assists, while sophomore Dana Dockery (Wappinger Falls, N.Y., Roy C. Ketcham) added 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting to set a career-high… Freshman Jada Smith (Philadelphia, Pa., Merion Mercy Academy) finished with nine rebounds and five assists to go along with three points.
 
West Chester: Hopkins recorded a double-double as she fueled the Rams with 15 points and a game-high 18 rebounds while dishing out five assists… Porscha Speller finished with a team-high 20 points to go along with nine rebounds and six assists.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 12th meeting between Holy Family and West Chester since the 2003-04 season.  The Tigers are now 5-7 versus the Golden Rams in the program's NCAA Division II era.
