How It Happened

* The Tigers made it look easy in the first half scoring three goals in the first 45 minutes, while holding Post to just one shot.  Ulmer scored the game's first goal in the 22nd minute before senior Shannon Metzler (Erial, N.J./St. Josephs (Hammonton)) fired a shot from 30-yards out for her fourth goal of the season four minutes later.  With the score 2-0 in favor of the Tigers, freshman Alexa Teschko (Clayton, N.J./Clayton) scored her second goal of the season on the 44th minute to give Holy Family a 3-0 lead heading into halftime.

*   The script was turned in the second half when the Eagles responded with three unanswered goals.  The home team tallied goals starting in the 46th minute by Erika Quinones.  Katharina Mertz cut the lead to one after a penalty kick score in the 65th minute and Fitore Kllobocishta tied the game at 3-3 with a goal in the 78th minute.

* The Tigers would have the final say when Ulmer beat the Post goalie with a chip shot after receiving a give-and-go pass from junior Brianna Rock (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) for the game-winning score.  Holy Family kept the Eagles off the scoreboard the rest of the way as freshman goalkeeper Emily Camp (Pittsgrove, N.J./Arthur P. Schalick) made key save in the 88th minute preventing Post to tie the game.  Camp finished with six saves.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 21st meeting all-time between Holy Family and Post dating back to the 1997 season.  The Tigers, winners of four straight games versus the Eagles, are now 20-1-0 in the series.

Postseason Bound
The win not only puts Holy Family in a tie for second place in the CACC standings, but it also secured a spot in this year's conference tournament.  The Tigers will be appearing in their 19th consecutive CACC tournament since joining the conference in 1999.

Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 12 as the Tigers travel to face NYIT in a non-conference contest.  Game time is set for 3 p.m. in Old Westbury, N.Y.
