Garden City, N.Y. - The Holy Family University women's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest at NYIT by the score of 2-0 on Thursday afternoon at President's Stadium.

How It Happened
 
* Two second-half goals turned out to be the difference in the game.  NYIT scored early and late in the second half after both teams battled to a scoreless first 45 minutes.  The Bears received goals from Taylor Casey in the 53rd minute and went on to double their score with a goal by Dina Simonian in the 84th minute.
 
* Holy Family goalkeeper, freshman Emily Camp (Pittsgrove, N.J./Arthur P. Schalick), made five saves in net after facing 13 shots by the Bears.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the sixth meeting all-time between Holy Family and NYIT dating back to the 2002 season.  The series is now tied at 3-3-0 after the win by the Bears.
 
Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 14 as the Tigers host Felician University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action.  Game time is set for 4 p.m. at Tiger Field.  Prior to the game the Tigers will recognize its senior class in part of Senior Day Festivities.  This year's class includes Taylor Adair (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan), Shannon Metzler (Erial, N.J./St. Josephs (Hammonton)), Stefanie Ulmer (Philadelphia, Pa./Delaware Valley HS Center City) and Taylor Walker (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown).
