How It Happened

* Holy Family scored a season-high five goals on the afternoon, including three in the first half.  Junior Matt McWilliams (Trevose, Pa./Archbishop Wood) scored his first goal of the season after taking advantaged of a misplayed ball by the Chestnut Hill goalkeeper.  McWilliams was able to control the ball and find the back of the net to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute.

* Less than three minutes later the Tigers doubled their lead when freshman Mike Smith (Southampton, Pa./Archbishop Wood) connected on his fifth goal of the season with senior Mariano Cepeda (Philadelphia, Pa. (Argentina)/Roman Catholic) setting up the score.  Smith drilled home his own rebound after Chestnut Hill's goalkeeper lost control of the initial save.

* Holy Family tacked on another goal in the 37th minute with freshman Davis Habilaj (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) scoring his first collegiate goal.  Senior Connor Stackhouse (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) launched a free kick from about 40-yards out into the box and Habilaj was there to head it into the back of the net.

* Chestnut Hill opened the second half aggressive with back-to-back shots on net in the 46th and 47th minutes but senior goalkeeper Mark Pohl (Feasterville, Pa./Father Judge) made both stops to preserve the shutout and keep the Griffins' offense in check.

* Holy Family scored two additional goals in the second half.  Freshman Sean McCormick (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) scored his fourth goal of the season in the 57th minute after dribbling past a defender and finishing with a shot from the left side. Fellow freshman Mohamed Elgayar (Philadelphia, Pa. (Egypt)/Northeast) scored his third goal of the season in the 64th minute with freshman Matt Flanagan (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) assisting on the play.
