How It Happened

* In the 102nd minute Rock came through with the golden goal to give the Tigers the sudden victory over the Lightning.  Freshman Hannah Derby (Pitman, N.J./Pitman) delivered a perfect pass to Rock who in return took a shot from 10-yards out that went over the keeper just under the crossbar for the goal.  It marked her 14th of the season and second on the day.

* Rock scored the game's first goal in the 55th minute to give the Tigers a 1-0 advantage.  The lead was short lived  because Goldey-Beacom responded in the 59th minute when Amy Runciman scored her eighth goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1.

* Freshman goalkeeper Emily Camp (Pittsgrove, N.J./Arthur P. Schalick) made seven saves in net for the Tigers, including one stop in the first overtime to preserve the tie at the time.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 22nd meeting all-time between Holy Family and Goldey-Beacom dating back to the 2000 season. The Tigers are now 19-2-1 in the series versus the Lightning.

Postseason Picture
Today's win turned out to be a big one for the Tigers.  Holy Family separated itself from a crowded top of the standings and is in sole possession of second place with two regular season games to play.  The Tigers trail Georgian Court University (10-0-0) by three points in the standings.  The Tigers and Lions are scheduled to face-off in the regular season finale next week with the potential of the CACC Regular Season Title on the line.

Next Up
Holy Family returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 21 as the Tigers head to New York to face Dominican College in a CACC contest. Game time is set for 12 p.m. in Orangeburg.
