How It Happened

* Senior Shannon Metzler (Erial, N.J./St. Josephs (Hammonton)) gave the Tigers some lead way early as she connected with a shot from 30-yards out for her sixth goal of the season in the fourth minute of action.  Metzler's goal set a new career-high for her and gave the Tigers a 1-0 advantage.

* The Tigers would go on double their lead in the 18th minute when Metzler sent a pass to junior Brianna Rock (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) for her conference leading 15th goal of the season.  Rock was able to get a shot off inside the box to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.

* Holy Family tacked on one more goal in the 50th minute when freshman Cailey Plath (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) collected a rebounded ball off a saved shot by Rock.  Plath shot into an empty net for her fourth goal of the season.

* The Holy Family defense limited Dominican to seven shots the entire game with four on-target.  Freshman goalkeeper Emily Camp (Pittsgrove, N.J./Arthur P. Schalick) made three saves in the game in just over 78 minutes of work.  Fellow freshman Brianna Pudlo (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert) made one stop after entering in relief in the 79th minute.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 24th meeting all-time between Holy Family and Dominican dating back to the 1997 season.  The Tigers, winners of nine straight against the Chargers, are now 17-4-3 in the series.

Postseason Picture
Today's win guaranteed at least a top-three seed for the Tigers in the upcoming CACC Tournament.  The Tigers could claim the top-seed and a share of the regular season title with a win over Georgian Court University in the regular season finale.  The Lions are a perfect 11-0-0 in conference play this season.

Program Record In Reach
Rock will enter the regular season finale two points shy of becoming the first player in the program's NCAA Division II era to reach the 40 mark in total points in a single season.  She currently has 38 points on 15 goals and eight assists. The last player to surpass 40 points in a single season was Michelle Jones who totaled 69 points in the 2000 season when Holy Family was still a member of the NAIA.

Next Up
Holy Family will wrap up the regular season at home on Tuesday, Oct. 24 as the Tigers host Georgian Court University in a CACC contest. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m. at Tiger Field.
